Hi Fred As you can see, I'm now a follower, so I guess that gives me a right to comment! Like Gillian, I find the images enchanting, but am struggling to find a point of engagement which is beyond simply visual. Perhaps my sensibilities are too crude to appreciate fully your meaning, because I am looking for some kind of narrative, some kind of story that gets me in under the skin of the image. Am I being clear? What I'm thinking of, as a point of comparison, is something like what Nolan has done in the Ned Kelly series, where he's taken an historical subject as his point of reference to explore his themes. Your work isn't so readily accessible because the subject matter comes from a place that the viewer needs to be led to, perhaps via some sort of narrative. And by that I don't mean text, but rather a story that enables one to put oneself in the picture, if you see what I mean. Cheers, Joe.
hi joe, Cool I do get your meaning and may I say I am posting these images merely to record the making of the 3D files in effect I am dressing the stage at this time. The bits of narrative that are here with the images is as much for my benefit as it tell me where these images fit in the story ... I have it in mind to do a sort of comics book with some decorative texts ... that is the direction and then I will make pdf eBooks on demand ... mostly thanks for becoming a follower and i do appreciate all comments and take them on board in assisting me to put together a more excellent piece of work ... Gillian could comment too!!
